I have been part of ‘The Art of Dentistry’ team for about 14 years, since moving to Colchester in 2001. I qualified from Bristol Dental Hospital many years before that and always worked part-time when my children were growing up. I have moved all over the country, from Wiltshire to Scotland and back to Colchester via south Essex, eventually landing back in the town where I was born.

I work at ‘The Art of Dentistry’ currently on a Monday and some Saturdays, I still enjoy the work, even after many years and feel I am virtually unshockable now!

In 2015 I have done two ‘Race for Life’ events to raise money for Cancer Research UK and hope to do the same next year, I am not a serious runner, but a willing walker/jogger and really enjoyed taking part.

Another challenge for 2016 is to try to take part in a short volunteering scheme taking dental advice and my hygienist skills abroad to help a community overseas with improving children’s dental health. Still waiting for the confirmation…

I work virtually full-time between two dental practices but make time for pilates, yoga and singing. My children are now adult but one is at university studying dentistry so hopefully will employ me when no-one else wants to!
